So let me get this straight - you are saying the use of Judas wolves, aerial hunting, baiting wolves, poisoning wolves, illegal hunting and trapping of wolves, using dogs to hunt wolves is all part of conservation? Sorry but I've spent too many summers at conservation camps, attended numerous conservation seminars over the years and that even I can tell you that this is not conservation at all, quite the opposite. Sounds more like desperation! Those actions will only lead to more illegal hunting/trapping/poaching wolves using any means necessary to kill wolves. The proof is already in the pudding! Why must hunters/ranchers (etc) resort to high powered rifles, using a lighter grained ammo, with high tech scopes capable of shooting vast distances just to video the kill for the sole purpose of bragging rights on youtube or facebook? Where is the logic in that? They shoot animals not even moving, which in all reality is like cheating! Please explain the educational practices and benefits behind that theory? How can that even be considered conservation or wolf management?
You can use any excuse or means to justify it anyway you want, but the results are still the same! Conservation management means to preserve, to save, to re-introduce! That goes for the habitat too.
You are sadly mistaken if you call this wildlife conservation management!
WHO ARE WE TO DICTATE HOW MANY WOLVES ARE TOO MANY?
